NOTE: All positions below have a starting rate of $13.00/hour and are full-time positions, unless otherwise noted.
Waterblast Operator – 2nd shift
Use high pressure water to remove excess shell material from castings.
Machining/CNC – 1st shift
Perform precise machining operations on castings. Construct runner dies, gauges, fixtures and straightening blocks using basic machine shop equipment and hand tools. Rework existing dies. Ability to operate CNC ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Foundry – 1st shift/ 2nd shift
Melts and pours alloy into refractory molds. Dewaxing shells using autoclave. Reinforce shells by using cement, patch dipping techniques and insulation materials. Loading and unloading ovens.
Solid Mold Operator – 1st shift/ 2nd shift
Participate in all steps of the solid mold castings process – prepare assemblies for investment, load and run ovens, cast molds and operate waterblast cabinet. Must be able to wear a full-face respirator.
Welder – 2nd shift
Perform weld repair of aluminum castings by manual tungsten inert gas (TIG) method to customer specifications. Alloy – majority of welding – A356, A357. Remove defects and/or blend the weld repair areas using wire brushes, stones, burrs, air guns, belt machines, grinders, and any other metal removing equipment.
Shipping/Tensile Test – 1st shift
Preparing aluminum castings for shipment – testing, packing, coordinating paperwork and pick-ups and dealing with pressure of the end of the day/month push. Responsibilities also include scribing and measuring test bars as well as performing tensile, yield and elongation tests.
Wax Room Operator – 2nd shift
Set up and inject molds using wax injection press. Inspect wax patterns to repair and communicate defects. Mount wax molds, attach runners to patterns with proper seals and use sticky wax and/or water welder to attach gates to runners and fill in holes.
